The food was fabulous as you can see, although I felt the service was a bit rushed.

This Beast is:CHILLI TREE BEEF CHUCK PATTY w BACON, JALAPENOS, LETTUCE, TOMATO & SHAUN’S SPECIAL CHILLI CHEESE SAUCE
I would have to honestly say that of all the burger so far, these rate bloody high. Tree of us, you have set the standard very high.
I would explain why, but I think you should try for yourself.
Garlic Butter Clams
White bean soup with spanner crab & preserved lemon Pork pate on toast
House Pickled Pork Belly
And the star of the show was the most amazing Roast Suckling Pig, tender flavoursome meat with crispy skin and crackling. Droolworthy.
It was joined by;Baby gem lettuce, crispy garlic, palm hearts and
radish cressHeirloom beetroots, lentils and fresh curd
I would highly recommend any pork lover to attend this event hosted by none other than Bomba should they run this again.
A few weeks ago I visited Meatmother on Swan Street. The american inspired menu looked amazing and literally was a meat lovers dream. I chose the Pulled Pork Bun Tray and my side was Mac & Cheese.
The meat itself was incredibly flavoursome and tender and I loved the contrast with the chipotle slaw.
However, I felt that the Mac & Cheese was missing some punch. It needed some seasoning or spice or some sharp parmesan cheese, it tasted a little flat. On the plus side, the crumb topping added a nice crunch element to it.
I thought overall that the portions were quite small for the price (the above was $20). One of the others who I went with ordered the Pork Belly Meat Tray for example an only received one piece of meat and one small side for $23.
I shall return sometime (most likely on a payday! Ha-ha)
